Network FAQ
What is the server latency?
Typical latency from each node to mainland China:
| Node | Latency to Mainland China |
|---|---|
| Hong Kong (HKG) | < 30ms |
| Japan (JPN) | < 50ms |
| Singapore (SIN) | < 70ms |
Actual latency varies by local ISP and network conditions. We recommend testing before purchase.
What carriers are supported?
GoMami peers with China's three major carriers and multiple international carriers:
- China Telecom
- China Unicom
- China Mobile
- Other international Tier 1 carriers
International carriers are subject to actual BGP announcements and may change with network adjustments.
See Locations & Network.
My IP is blocked. What do I do?
If your IP is inaccessible from mainland China:
- First check if it's globally inaccessible (could be a server issue)
- Use
pingandtracerouteto diagnose the network path - Contact support via the ticket system to verify IP status
- If confirmed blocked, support will help you change the IP
IP blocking is usually related to the services running on the server. Please ensure your usage complies with the Terms of Service.
How do I test server network quality?
# Test latency from local machine
ping your_server_ip
# View route hops
traceroute your_server_ip
# Test return route from server (after logging in)
mtr your_local_ip
How does DDoS protection work?
GoMami provides best-effort DDoS protection by default for all instances. 600 Gbps advanced scrubbing is available as a paid add-on:
- Default protection automatically detects and scrubs, no manual intervention needed
- Normal traffic is unaffected
- When attacks affect other customers, the IP will be blackholed for 30-60 minutes, auto-released, manual intervention is not possible
- For stronger protection, the 600 Gbps paid option is available
See DDoS Protection.
Can I purchase additional IP addresses?
For additional IP addresses, contact support via the ticket system.
Is inbound traffic billed?
No. GoMami only bills outbound traffic. Inbound traffic is completely free.
Can I run a proxy or VPN on my server?
Please refer to GoMami's Terms of Service. All usage must comply with the Terms of Service and applicable laws and regulations.
